Yes, the email address gc-orders@gc.email.amazon.com is legit and not a scam. Gift or egift cards sent via Amazon delivery service are sent on behalf of a company or person, but will appear in the recipient’s e-mail inbox as sent from Amazon's e-mail address gc-orders@gc.email.amazon.com. Do you know the person that sent it?

For weeks I forwarded the emails to stop-spoofing@amazon.com but they haven't done anything. It's a little disturbing to think that something is trying to break into my account in such a sophisticated way, and amazon won't do anything about the predators trying to steal from their clients, in their name.

Amazon.com estimates the tax and import fees and shows them during checkout. You can pay these during checkout to make everything flow smoothly through customs. If it does end up being more, Amazon eats the cost. If it ends up being less than Amazon pre-charged you, you get the difference back. Once in a blue moon I order on amazon.com.

I have evidence that ofm@amazon.com is not a bot but employees doing manual copy and paste and editing the text to customize to the customer's situation. Just take a look at the dumb typos in the mail they sent me. We have noticed that you have requested refunds for several orders from your account.

qemailserver is Qualtrics' server for sending survey invitations, so it is likely legit. They probably have an aggressive screener if they're offering payment for every participant, so I wouldn't get too excited about the gift card until you make it past that. I doubt this is actually from Amazon or through Amazon - it looks like a market research survey, for "a leader in the technology industry".

Ofm@amazon.com emails are definitely 100% real and from the specialist team. They are the ones that send warning emails like this and eventually bans.
